The entire universe remains in constant motion—seasons transition, weather patterns shift, day turns into night, and the inhale yields to the exhale. A time for planting, a season for harvest, our evolving chapters in life. Nature demonstrates time and again that bringing something to completion and stepping into a new phase is completely natural. Yet we humans tend to cling stubbornly to well-worn tracks out of fear of the unknown. When you feel deep down that something has served its purpose and is drawing to a close, internal voices full of hesitation often chime in:
“Don’t overcomplicate things.”
“It works fine, so why change it?”
You feel it in your bones: change is inevitable—whether in a relationship, a career, or anything that has run its course. Even when logic says otherwise. That is precisely why your mind serves up endless rationalizations to maintain the status quo. Yet you know the time is ripe. What we bid farewell to is not necessarily broken; it may simply no longer align with who we are becoming. We evolve on our journey through life, and adapting our outer world to honor that growth is entirely natural. In the long run, staying deeply connected with yourself and your core values is what truly matters.
Return to your life vision regularly and ask yourself:
- Does this bring me deep, soul-level joy?
- Can I truly be myself here?
Create a Farewell Ritual for the Summer Solstice
The Summer Solstice provides a potent threshold for honoring what we are grateful for while mindfully releasing what has completed its cycle. Our ancestors marked this shift symbolically through solstice bonfires and midsummer celebrations. You can create a simple, meaningful ritual of your own: Begin by acknowledging and writing down everything you are genuinely grateful for. On a separate piece of paper, write down everything you are ready to let go of. Speak your intention: “May everything that no longer serves me gently depart. May everything that does not serve my highest good be released.” Ritualistically burn the second piece of paper on the Solstice—June 21.

Saying Farewell to Past Projects
This brings me to an intimate turning point on my own path. Even though it was far from easy, the time for a profound shift arrived for me as well. I made the conscious decision to let go of an entire business chapter and the creative projects that once defined me.
That season brought me so much: my deep journey with the KonMari Method, minimalism, and the world of home organizing. I worked alongside dozens of remarkable clients in their living spaces, both in person and virtually. I discovered a vibrant love for public speaking, produced an online course, created endless digital resources, and launched an e-shop with custom organizational labels. Balancing all of that while raising two toddlers was no small feat!
Yet that was precisely where the friction began. In the relentless rhythm of producing and inspiring, I lost touch with myself, my family, and my own sanctuary. There was simply too much on my plate. My online visibility stopped bringing me fulfillment. What began as a pursuit of joy quietly turned into sheer exhaustion…
From Cheerful Tidying to Healing Tidying
I also arrived at a deeper realization: the way I support clients is not purely, superficially cheerful. Letting go of possessions and parting with what no longer serves us is a nuanced, vulnerable process. It digs deep. It is inherently therapeutic and healing rather than merely joyful.
It became crystal clear that working within someone else’s rigid frameworks or prescribed checklists no longer resonates with me. Nor does boxing myself into external labels and “isms”—whether strict minimalism or the KonMari Method. Over the five years since this project began, my own holistic philosophy quietly took root. And what better moment to welcome it into the light than when the sun reaches its highest point in the sky?

Healing Tidying™
Disconnecting from the online noise allowed me to reconnect fully with myself, my family, our sanctuary, and the natural world. I can’t help but smile now at how intensely I once tried to embody the flawless Japanese-method consultant—maintaining an immaculate home, parenting two toddlers with effortless grace, perpetually radiant, and broadcasting it all on social media. I pushed so hard to maintain that facade that I drifted miles away from genuine inner peace. I had to pull the plug, step back, and begin again from a blank canvas. I took several steps back to untangle myself from an over-identification with KonMari.
“To discover who we truly are, we must first let go of everything we are not.”
Suddenly, clarity struck: during my very first transformative decluttering journey years ago, I hadn’t read a single page by Marie Kondo. I simply dove in and decluttered until I could finally breathe. So I began actively rewriting my story. Not merely the narrative I shared publicly, but the one I lived behind closed doors with less need for external validation. My beautifully imperfect life as a woman who is passionate, expressive, and creatively wild rather than perpetually zen; someone who loves to write, sing, and dance in the woods, whose home is occasionally messy because raising small children is inherently unpredictable.
A woman with no urge to turn every creative spark into public content. I love taking my time, diving deep into creative practices—whether crafting healing songs, painting, or writing. I no longer pressure myself to be someone I am not; I simply give myself permission to inhabit who I am. Out of that spaciousness, deep meaning, and gratitude, a new name emerged organically. First as the title of my book, and ultimately as the heart of my entire philosophy.
With deep excitement, I welcome Healing Tidying™!
What does this approach offer? A core pillar of this deep home transformation is energetic space clearing and intentional rituals that anchor lasting change. Healing Tidying™ is built on two interdependent phases:
- The Outer Clearing: Harmonizing our physical possessions, living spaces, and material environment.
- The Inner Clearing: Tending to our body, emotions, mind, and spirit.
Both dimensions are deeply intertwined—neither can truly thrive without the other. Mindfully shedding what is unnecessary remains the central axis; that core truth remains steady.

Fresh inspiration around Healing Tidying™ will unfold naturally in due time. You can request a sample of the Healing Tidying™ book today.
When we release what no longer serves us and honor the quiet whisper of our heart, we create room for something new. For a new path. For your path. I look back on that entire chapter and everything it taught me with deep gratitude as I gently bid it farewell. Don’t worry, nothing is truly ending—quite the opposite: for me, the real journey is only just beginning. I am so excited for what lies ahead.
May you find the clarity and courage to release what no longer serves your life and home. I wish you effortless flow, authentic joy, and spacious ease. Allow yourself to open to change. And if you are wondering where to begin:
“Begin exactly where you are: at home, with your own belongings, carrying an open heart and an open mind. Watch how effortlessly everything sets into motion in the right direction.”
Thank you for walking this path with me.
Warmly,
Michaela
